Datejust 36

These matte black dials are one of the most sought-after dial variants. They are rarer than other colours as black was used more for the professional models and so give the Datejust a sportier aesthetic. They are referred to as “pie pan” dials due to the sloping edge of the dial. The dial is signed “T Swiss T” referring to the original tritium luminous used on the dial. The dial has not been touched and remains in excellent original condition.

The reference 1603 in stainless steel with milled bezel. The 3.8 million serial number in-between the lugs denotes to the year of production of 1974/75. It features a plexiglass crystal with a “Cyclops” magnifying the date display and a Rolex Twinlock screw down crown. The case & bracelet have been professionally polished by our watchmaker giving the watch a stunning aesthetic.
