Original wood dial
Original Burl wood dial with gold batons & hands. These wood dials featured mainly on OysterQuartz Day-Date models as well as the ladies full gold Datejust model. They are rarer than the usual sunburst finish dials and have become more sought after alongside the stone dials. The dial is correctly signed “T Swiss T”. The dial has not been touched and remains in excellent original condition.

The reference 6917/8 in 18k solid yellow gold with fluted bezel. The 6.2 million serial number in-between the lugs corresponds with the original guarantee paperwork dating the watch to 1981. It features a plexiglass crystal with “Cyclops” magnifying the date display and a gold Rolex Oyster Twinlock screw down crown. The case and bracelet have been professionally polished during service and are in excellent condition.
