This stunning dial is referred to as a “salmon” dial due to the colour & sunburst finish. It features white gold Roman numerals and is one of the rarer dial variants. It is signed “T Swiss Made T” referring to the original tritium luminous used on the dial & hands and is the last year Rolex used this type of luminous. The dial has not been touched by us and remains in excellent original condition.

Ref. 16234 in stainless steel with solid white gold fluted bezel. The U serial number in-between the lugs denotes to the year of production of 1997. This reference indicates that the case is fitted with a sapphire crystal with a “Cyclops” magnifying the date display and also referred to as a “no-holes case” due to the lack of lug holes. The case & bracelet have been professionally polished by our watchmaker giving the watch a stunning aesthetic. The white gold bezel has been sympathetically polished by hand so that it retains the original fluted edges. This is one of the reasons why our watches are presented in the highest quality in terms of condition. The crown is an original Rolex Oyster Twinlock screw down crown.
