Submariner

Original matte black dial with luminous markers & Mercedes hands. This dial is referred to as a ‘Pre Comex’ dial as it was the same configuration dial as used for some of the reference 5514 Comex Submariners. It is also the first of the ‘Maxi’ dials introduced in the late 1970s, referring to the slightly larger lume plots than previous dial types. The dial is marked  “Swiss-T<25” referring to the original tritium luminous used on the dial which is showing a nice patina. The dial has not been touched by us and remains in excellent original condition.

Submariner reference 5513 in stainless steel. The 5.1 million serial number in-between the lugs denotes to the year of production to 1977 which corresponds with this ‘Pre Comex’ dial type. This reference also features a domed plexiglass crystal. The case has been professionally polished by our watchmakers giving the watch a stunning aesthetic. The rotating bezel with original 60 minute insert is showing some small signs of age to be expected but we have kept it original. The crown is an original Rolex Triplock screw down crown.
