Day-Date 36

Originally launched in 1956, the Rolex Day-Date, later named the President, has retained the crown as Rolex’s ultimate classic timepiece. Few luxury watches come close to the prestige and importance of the Day Date. When Rolex introduced the Day-Date, it was the first watch to include the day of the week written in full at 12 o’clock, together with the date window at 3 o’clock. The watch has been improved mechanically over the decades with only minor changes to the timeless design. The Day Date 36, referring to the case diameter of 36mm, is the original size of this model and believed to be the best size for most connoisseurs.
