Explorer

Original Mk1 Explorer dial with 3-6-9 numerals, luminous markers & Mercedes hands. This is the first iteration of the reference 214270 which features the Mk1 dial type and so called ‘thin’ handset (referring the hands being thinner/smaller than the next iteration). The dial is in perfect condition reflecting the overall condition of this piece which is unworn.

The Explorer reference 214270 at 39mm can now be referred to as the ‘Jumbo’ Explorer as both the model before and after both have case diameters 36mm. As the watch is post 2010 it features the ‘random’ serial number engraved on the rehaut. It is the first of iteration of this reference and in unworn condition, still retaining the protective case and clasp stickers (something Rolex AD’s now longer do) which make this watch a collectors’ piece.

Original Rolex Oyster Explorer bracelet with flip lock clasp, still retaining the original protective clasp stickers. It features 12 links not including the end pieces and has the clasp code 3NY. Bracelets can be resized on request.
