Find me one like thisOriginal champagne sigma dial with gold baton indices and hands. Champagne dials are one of the most classic dial variants and one of our favourites. It is known as a sigma dial due to the small Greek letters either side of the “T Swiss T” indicating the use of gold for the indices. These sigma dials were only produced during the early to mid 70s and have now become highly sought-after. Also referred to as “pie pan” dials due to the sloping edge of the dial. This extra detail is why these four digit Day-Date references are much admired amongst collectors. The dial is marked “T Swiss T” referring to the original tritium luminous used on the dial. The dial has not been touched and remains in excellent original condition.
This very rare reference 1811 in 18k solid yellow gold has a special finish to the bezel and bracelet referred to as ‘Morellis’. The 3.2 million serial number in-between the lugs denotes to the year of production to 1973. This reference features a plexiglass crystal with a “Cyclops” magnifying the date display and a gold Rolex Oyster Twinlock screw down crown. The case has not been polished by us but has been at some point in the past and is it excellent condition with light surface scratches.
Original 18k solid yellow gold Rolex President bracelet with ‘Morellis’ finish to the centre links. The links have some light stretch to be expected for an original President bracelet from this year but is still in very good condition.
The Rolex Day Date is the ultimate classic Rolex, worn by the famous, and the Presidents…
