Original Champagne Anniversary dial
Original Champagne Anniversary dial with baton indices. These Rolex monogram dials were introduced in 1985 for the 40th Anniversary of the Datejust model. The dial has not been touched and remains in excellent original condition.
stainless steel case with solid gold "thunderbird" bezel
The two tone Turnograph reference 16253 with stainless steel case and solid yellow gold 60 minute rotating bezel also referred to a “Thunderbird” bezel. The R serial number in-between the lugs corresponds with the original guarantee paperwork dating the watch to 1988. It features the cal. 3035 automatic movement with quick set date and plexiglass crystal with “Cyclops” magnifying the date display. The crown is an original gold Rolex Oyster Twinlock screw down crown. The case & bracelet have not been polished by us and remain in excellent condition, appearing unpolished. The case back retains the original Rolex sticker still applied.
