The high precision quartz cal. 5035 and 5135 was produced to meet the demand for quartz movements during the infamous 1970s “quartz crisis”. In typical Rolex style, these were hailed as a “modern marvel'” at the time and were produced for 25 years. This quality quartz movement was paired with a new case design with integrated bracelet which evokes watch design from the decade. They were as much on trend then as they are today.
