Original grey cross-hatched dial referred to by collectors as a “linen” dial. This stunning dial features the signature of Sultan Qaboos bin Said, Ruler of Oman, making it very rare. This watch was commissioned by the Sultan and presented to someone of high importance to the country as a sign of gratitude for their work. The dial is correctly signed “T Swiss T” referring to the original tritium luminous. The dial has not been touched and remains in excellent original condition.
Reference 1803 in 18k solid yellow gold with fluted bezel. The 2.8 million serial number in-between the lugs denotes to the year of production to 1971/72. The serial number is also engraved inside the case back which confirms this watch was a special order. This reference features a plexiglass crystal with a “Cyclops” magnifying the date display.
