Original silver wide boy sigma dial

Original silver sigma dial with wide baton indices & matching hands. These dials have become known as “wide boy” dials and one of the most collected dial variants. It is also known as a sigma dial due to the small Greek letters either side of the “T Swiss T” indicating the use of gold for the indices. These sigma dials were produced for a short period during the early to mid 70s and have now become highly sought-after. Also referred to as “pie pan” dials due to the slope towards the edge of the dial. This detail is why these four digit Datejust references are much admired amongst collectors. The dial is marked “T Swiss T” referring to the original tritium luminous used on the dial. The dial has not been touched by us and remains in excellent original condition.

stainless steel case with white gold fluted bezel

Ref. 1601 in stainless steel with solid white gold fluted bezel. The 3.0 million serial number in-between the lugs denotes to the year of production of 1972. It has the original case back stamped with the 1601 reference and date of production (typically a year before the watch was officially produced). This reference also indicates that the case is fitted with a plexiglass crystal with a “Cyclops” magnifying the date display. The case & bracelet have been professionally polished by our watchmaker giving the watch a stunning aesthetic. The white gold bezel has been sympathetically polished by hand so that it retains the original fluted edges. This is one of the reasons why our watches are presented in the highest quality in terms of condition. The crown is an original Rolex Oyster Twinlock screw down crown.

Rolex Jubilee bracelet

Rolex Jubilee bracelet with reference 62510H and 555 end links. It is from a slightly later period to the watch and is referred to as the “heavy” link bracelet which are generally preferred to over the earlier “folded link” bracelets. Bracelets can be resized to fit on request.

The Rolex Datejust is one of the most quintessential yet understated Rolex models produced

Originally launched in 1945, it has remained a timeless classic and is renowned for its quality and functionality.
