Day-Date 36

Original champagne dial with black inlaid gold batons and Arabic numeral tracking. They are referred to as “pie pan” dials due to the sloping edge of the dial. This detail is why these four digit Day Date references are much admired amongst collectors. The dial is signed “T Swiss T” referring to the original tritium luminous used on the dial. The dial has not been touched and remains in excellent original condition.

Ref. 1803 in 18k solid rose gold with fluted bezel. These rare rose gold Date Dates were produced in far fewer numbers compared to the classic yellow gold. The 2.0 million serial number in-between the lugs denotes to the year of production to 1969. It features a plexiglass crystal with a “Cyclops” magnifying the date display and a gold Rolex Oyster Twinlock screw down crown. The case has been professionally polished by our watchmakers giving the watch a stunning aesthetic. The rose gold bezel has been sympathetically polished by hand so that it retains the original fluted edges. This is one of the reasons why our watches are presented in the highest quality in terms of condition.

This watch is fitted with a brown Watches of Knightsbridge genuine alligator strap and a gold plated Rolex pin buckle. Different leather straps depending on preference can be ordered on request.
