Find me one like thisOriginal silver dial with wide baton indices & matching hands. These dials have become known as “wide boy” dials and one of the most collected dial variants. Also referred to as “pie pan” dials due to the sloping edge of the dial. This extra detail is why these four digit Datejust references are much admired amongst collectors. The dial is marked “T Swiss T” referring to the original tritium luminous used on the dial. The dial has not been touched by us and remains in excellent original condition with the luminous showing a nice patina.
Ref. 1601 with stainless steel case and solid white gold fluted bezel. The 1.9 million serial number in-between the lugs denotes to the year of production of 1969. This reference features a plexiglass crystal with a “Cyclops” magnifying the date display. The case & bracelet have been professionally polished by us giving the watch a stunning aesthetic. The white gold bezel has been sympathetically polished by hand so that it retains the original fluted edges. This is one of the reasons why our watches are presented in the highest quality in terms of condition. It features an original Rolex Oyster Twinlock screw down crown.
